I Must Crush This Rebellion
Can a 5-month old rebel against his parents? (I see all you parents out there vigorously nodding your heads. It's a rhetorical question!)
Cooper's been kinda not wanting me to feed him in the mornings lately. Monday, he fussed hard while I was feeding him. Totally distracted, or so I thought.
Tuesday, he ate fine while sitting in his rocking chair...no problem with him all day.
Wednesday, he wouldn't take the bottle to save his life, mine or his mother's. It was that bad. Little sucker ate about two ounces, and clammed up his lips. I couldn't even get a binky in there to keep him feeling like he was eating. He ended up going to Cheryl's without having eaten a full meal. I just took the bottle to her to give to him.
Today, he does the same thing. But, A-HA! I got him. He'd get about 1/2 ounce of milk, then would start pushing the bottle away or clamping his mouth shut like, "I don't want nunna that junk." So I took the bottle completely away from him. Funny how a baby's tune changes so quickly when all of a sudden, his meal is gone. He's start to cry, and when I'd produce the bottle again, both hands were reaching up to grab it. I'd get at least 1/2 ounce each time that way. So today, he did manage to get a full meal. But sheesh, he made me make him earn it.
Guess he's getting to the age where he knows that the bottle just ain't Mommy. Ooooh, the rejection starts. :-(
